Témoignage : From March 22 to 25, I went on an Erasmus+ trip to Italy with my classmates. We left early in the morning from Luxembourg and flew to Rome. Even though I didn’t sleep much and felt super tired, I was excited. My mom gave me a long goodbye speech, and at the airport, security took my toothpaste - which I still miss!
When we arrived in Rome, our host families welcomed us. I stayed with Gabriel and his family. He showed us around Rome and told us a lot about its history. In the evening, we had dinner with all the pupils from Italy and Portugal. It was a fun start to the trip.
The next day, we had pancakes for breakfast and went to visit second-hand shops and the mountain town of Nemi, known for its strawberry tart. It was nice, but the tart wasn’t amazing. Later, we went for a walk on the beach and had pizza at a restaurant.
On the third day, we had cookies and warm milk for breakfast. We spent the day at the Italian school, learning about pupil life there and joining activities. We saw presentations from the Italian and Portuguese pupils about the Erasmus+ project. In the evening - yes, more pizza!
On the last day, I had delicious homemade tiramisu. We went to school one last time, and at around 10 a.m., it was time to leave. Saying goodbye wasn’t too sad because I felt like I’d made real friends and hoped to see them again.
